Jane Harrison Fisher inducted into Sewanee Hall of Fame

One of the things we have always prided ourselves in at The Caine Companies is the strength of our leadership team. We believe we have the best in our industry because of their dedication and commitment to success; a success not only found in the professional arena, but also in their personal lives.

Recently, one of our own, Jane Harrison (Chapman) Fisher, Director of Marketing and Communications, was inducted into the 2011 Athletic Hall of Fame of Sewanee: University of the South.

Before graduating with the Sewanee class of 2002, Jane Harrison earned 11 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference swimming titles. To this day she holds more records than any male or female in conference history, including 4 straight titles in the 100m freestyle. She still holds the Sewanee school records in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 500m freestyle and the conference records in the 200m and 500m freestyle. Additionally, through the 2011 season, she remains in the top five in five conference events.

In 1999, after placing sixth in the 200m freestyle in the NCAA Division III Championship, she became the first-ever All-American Female Swimmer in the SCAC and repeated this a year later in 2000. She has been named the SCAC Female Swimmer-of-the-Year three times and stands today as one of the most decorated swimmers in school and conference history.

While this honor was a great personal achievement, it also held a greater familial connection to the Chapman family as Jane Harrison’s father, Rob Chapman, was also inducted into the 2011 Hall of Fame. Rob, a four-year letterwinner on the Sewanee Golf Team, won T.I.C. individual championships during his sophomore and senior years at Sewanee. He was part of two Capital Athletic Conference championship teams, the individual CAC runner-up in 1970 and won medalist honors in 1972.

Jane Harrison’s drive for results and pursuit of success is seen daily in everything she does for us here at Coldwell Banker Caine. We’re proud to celebrate her personal achievements and are reminded again how blessed we are to have such a dedicated individual on our team.
