01 Nov Gen Blue 2016: A Recap
Each year, Coldwell Banker hosts an international conference celebrating the successes of the past and energizing the Gen Blue (Generation Coldwell Banker Blue!) community for the next big thing to come.
Coldwell Banker Caine brought 40 agents, staff, and managers to South Beach in Miami where we were honored for our distinction as a Chairman’s Circle Company (the top 2% of the entire Coldwell Banker population). We were also able to celebrate the achievements of our agents: Jacob Mann’s honor as the Number One Coldwell Banker agent in South Carolina, Lewis and Company as the Number One Coldwell Banker team in South Carolina, and Jordan Corbett’s 30 Under 30 award given to just 30 individuals around the world.
When we were not celebrating the successes of our team in the beautiful Art Deco backdrop of South Beach, we joined more than 3,000 Coldwell Banker friends for educational and inspirational sessions in The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theater.
We laughed at comedian Frank Caliendo, drew inspiration from industry speakers from top brands (Amazon, ESPN, Facebook, Yelp, and YouTube), and found incredible motivation from speakers like Alison Levine (leader of the first female team to summit Everest) and Melissa Stockwell (Iraq veteran who lost her leg and became a Paralympic medalist).
We learned about smart home technology and how our parent company is on the cutting edge with its new Smart Home Staging Kit. We also discovered Coldwell Banker is establishing the only real estate partnership with Amazon Echo and Alexa, a hands-free speaker controlled by your voice. Alexa allows you to control lights, switches, and music, while also enabling internet search and interaction with multiple devices.
Video is more important than ever – and easier to create thanks to new apps like YouTube Director for Business. Of course, good storytelling behind all video and marketing remains crucial. We also learned more about the power of the Coldwell Banker network for local and global relationships that can strengthen our business at home.
It wouldn’t be a Coldwell Banker event without the first look at some exciting commercials coming out in the next few months – we can’t wait to share them and all of the “awesomeness” we will continue to learn thanks to being a part of the strongest real estate brand in the world.
