8 Must-Do Art Events in the Upstate

Spring is a time for growth and renewal. As the flowers bloom and the weather warms, it is a great time to bring new life into your home with some handcrafted décor. In the Upstate, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with local artists and acquire unique pieces to add to your collection. Here are a few spring art events we’re looking forward to!

Artist Reception: Betsy Powell
May 8, Coldwell Banker Caine Main Street Real Estate Gallery
Join us for the artist’s opening reception and a viewing of Betsy’s art on display at the Main Street Real Estate Gallery as we celebrate a week of art leading up to Artisphere.

Artisphere
May 11-13, Downtown Greenville
The largest art show in the Southeast, Artisphere takes place annually on Mother’s Day weekend with 135 artists exhibiting their work on Main Street, demonstrations, live music, food from Greenville’s favorite restaurants, and a wine and craft beer experience.

Coldwell Banker Caine’s 85th Anniversary Celebration & Community Opening

On the third Thursday of every month, enjoy a self-guided tour of art galleries in downtown Spartanburg from 5-8 pm.

Art Movies: Beltracchi, The Art of Forgery

The Great North Main Art Experience

NOMA Square is excited to host this event presented by The North Main Galleries consisting of The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville, The Art Cellar, and Kathy Young Fine Art and Jewelry. These galleries represent over 75 of Greenville’s most talented artists and artisans, many of whom will be setting up their easels in NOMA Square.
