21 Sep 63 Pets Adopted at Coldwell Banker Caine’s Upstate Adoption & Food Drive Event
Through Coldwell Banker Caine’s community service platform, Caine Cares, the company partnered with Greenville County Animal Care to host an event on September 8, as a part of the Coldwell Banker Homes for Dogs National Adoption Weekend. Attendees were encouraged to donate pet food and supplies as well as adopt animals. The event was a huge success and demonstrated the power of what the Caine family can do when they come together to support a cause.
During the event ALL pet adoptions were free! Attendees enjoyed gourmet hot dogs from Resident Dogs and complimentary snow cones from The Nomadik Few, courtesy of Coldwell Banker Caine. AllyJay Pet Designs also joined the event, selling their stylish pet leashes and collars. The event was sponsored by Noble Dog hotel, a five-star dog hotel with pet amenities, and Nature’s Select dog food company.
People mingled and enjoyed snacking on hot dogs, Caine Cares cookies (or treats for the dogs), and mixing their own snow cone flavors. However, the most exciting part of the sunny, Friday afternoon was watching dozens of people file through the doors of Greenville County Animal Care and stroll the isles to visit the dogs and puppies in need of a home.
In 2016, Coldwell Banker founded the Homes For Dogs Project, a partnership with Adopt-a-Pet.com aimed at helping adoptable dogs find loving homes. Together, the pair has helped more than 20,000 dogs find homes, and that number continues to grow with the renewed partnership this year.
Locally, animal welfare is a key area of need that Caine Cares supports, and Greenville County Animal Care is working towards building a no-kill community, which aggressively seeks to find homes for homeless pets in the Upstate. As a result of Coldwell Banker Caine’s event, 63 pets were adopted and a large number of donations were collected.
Coldwell Banker Caine was honored to join the mission of finding loving homes for dogs in need and to see the smiles on people’s faces as they walked away pet owners. Because the difference between a house and a home is love, and everyone deserves a loving home.
