The warmer weather draws people outside and encourages the addition of fun events to our calendars. While browsing through the news headlines, we noticed how many awesome events are happening in the Upstate over the next few weeks. We’ve rounded up a few #UpstateHeadlines of festivals, concerts, parties, and cook-offs that you just can’t miss!

Spartanburg Soaring! International Kite Festival

Come SOAR with Chapman Cultural Center during this all-day International Kite Festival April 21st from 11 am – 5 pm. This community-wide initiative promotes active play through kites, live music, great food trucks and more! Round up your family and friends and don’t miss this unique event.

The Village of West Greenville Spring Block Party

Who doesn’t love an old-fashioned block party? The Village of West Greenville Spring Block Party will take place on April 28th from 11 am – 6 pm. This annual event provides a wonderful opportunity to encourage the growth and community of the West Village. Guests will enjoy local music, food, drinks, art demonstrations, handmade crafts, kids activities and more!

Pelham Medical Center Greer Family Fest

With a rich history of providing family fun, the Pelham Medical Center Greer Family Fest will celebrate its 34th anniversary this year. As Greer grows, so does the festival. This two-day event will feature live music, rides and inflatables, and over 150 vendors. You don’t want to miss this awesome event Friday, May 4th through Saturday, May 5th.

Greenville Blues Festival

Hosted at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, the Greenville Blues Festival will entertain guests with artists such as Sir Charles Jones, Theodis Ealey, Pokey Bear, Nellie “Tiger” Travis, Lacee, and Clarence Carter. If you’re a fan of singing and listening to the Blues, make sure to grab your ticket for Friday, April 13th at 8 pm.

Spartanburg 5th Annual Burger Cookoff

Spartanburg residents are looking forward to the fifth annual Cribbs Kitchen Burger Cook-off from 2 to 8 pm on Saturday, April 14th at the corner of West Main Street and Daniel Morgan Avenue. Proceeds will benefit Children’s Cancer Partners, formerly the Children’s Security Blanket, to support families with children struggling with cancer. This family-friendly event is free to attend – tickets to enjoy the food will be available at the event.
