30th Annual Fall for Greenville this weekend

This weekend in Greenville, St. Francis brings to you “A Taste of Our Town” with the 30th annual Fall for Greenville festival. Widely recognized as one of the most loved events in these parts, it is one of the largest free admission food street festivals in the Southeast, showcasing over 40 of Greenville’s finest restaurants, and bringing between 150,000 and 200,000 people to our beautiful Downtown.

An especially exciting addition to this year’s event is a free iPhone and Android app available for download showcasing maps of parking, vendors, menu and pricing for each restaurant, music schedules for each stage and real-time traffic information about the area.

Restaurant vendors include names such as Fonda Rosalindas, Larkin’s on the River, Liquid Highway, Runway Café, Two Chefs, Coffee to a Tea and many others.

In addition to providing a taste of Greenville, the festival also brings an array of ancillary events including musical entertainment on three stages, children’s rides, culinary demonstrations, wine tastings and restaurant competitions.

A few of the musical groups featured at this year’s event include Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Dawes, J Roddy Walston and the Business and Chocolate Thunder.

A percentage of the revenue from Fall for Greenville is given as grants to local charities. Last year $35,000 was presented to six non-profit organizations including the Greenville Rape Crisis and Child Abuse Center, Loaves and Fishers and Harvest Hope Food Bank. Over the past six years the festival has donated over $200,000 to local non-profits.

You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Downtown Greenville and taste the food our area has to offer.

See you there!
