Greenville Welcomes Pro Soccer League

The United Soccer League (USL) Division III franchise is bringing professional soccer to the Upstate. The first season kicks off a year from now. The group owners, Joe and Doug Erwin and their team, Erwin Creates, are looking for spaces to renovate or build…team name and colors to come!

Spartanburg Named Best College Basketball City in South Carolina

Spartanburg has been named the best college basketball city in South Carolina according to WalletHub. The study looked for cities that had exciting teams to root for. The factors included winning percentages, venues, coaches, and engagement. Wofford had the largest effect on Spartanburg’s ranking, but USC Upstate and Converse basketball teams helped as well.

Professional Fisherman Head to Greenville for 2018 Bassmaster Classic

The GEICO Bassmaster Classic is coming back to Greenville this weekend! The event will kick off on March 15 with a seminar for local fisherman led by Mike Del Visco. He will share his tricks of the trade – learned by 30 years of fishing experience. The Classic will take place throughout the weekend in Greenville and on Lake Hartwell in Anderson. This will be the 48th annual world championship of professional bass fishing.
