Caine Hayes Insurance is led by Upstate native, Chris Hayes, who has been managing an insurance agency since 2000. Formerly with Horace Mann Insurance helping educators and their families with personal insurance and retirement planning, he and his team regularly ranked in the company’s top 5%. In 2013, Hayes opened his own independent agency and started helping small business owners as well.
Hayes has always enjoyed problem-solving and uses that passion to find the best risk management solution for each individual, family, or business that he works with. The great team he has assembled treats each client as family and that equates to a retention rate that is over 12 points higher than the national average for independent agencies.
Hayes has been very involved in the community serving on boards of the Upstate History Museum and Carolina Ballet Theatre and as President of Greenville’s USC Alumni Association for over seven years. He has also served on numerous committees as a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and Greenville Country Club. Hayes resides in Greenville with his lovely wife, Virginia. They are devoted parents to their always entertaining son, Davis, and their family dog, Charlie. Hayes also enjoys traveling, golfing, and watching college sports whenever he has the chance.
