The city of Easley is located in Pickens County in the Upstate area of South Carolina. At the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Easley is a neighborhood community of 20,000 within the greater Greenville-Mauldin-Easley Metropolitan Area of 640,000. Conveniently located near Greenville and Clemson University, Easley is a small friendly town located near Caesar’s Head & Table Rock State Parks. There are also numerous lakes, waterfalls, river rafting, and hiking trails in the area. Easley is also not far from the scenic Hwy 11 that runs along the foothills in the top of Pickens County.

Like many southern towns, Easley saw growth in the late 19th century due to the completion of the railroad. Easley was named after the Confederate General William K. Easley. After the town was surveyed and lots sold, Easley was established in 1874. As the textile industry began to flourish in Pickens County, Clemson Agricultural College was established outside of town on the southwester edge of the county. The 1960s saw the growth of large reservoirs and dams in the area that saw the growth of nuclear power in neighboring counties.

Easley is home to many who work in the Greenville area or for Clemson University but also enjoy the small community setting. The downtown Easley area offers small shops, eateries, and occasional festivities. Easley is the ideal location for those who enjoy the
