Community Compass: Augusta Road Part 2

Community_Compass_bannerExploring Augusta Road:

As Greenville continues to grow, areas such as Augusta Road are highly coveted due to its downtown location. There has never been so much demand in this competitive market. Augusta Road takes pride in its close-knit family values and beautiful historic homes. It is one of the oldest, most desirable neighborhoods filled with southern character and charm. It has blossomed into a multigenerational atmosphere from young couples to seasoned affluent families. Chanticleer is a prime example of a beautiful, gated community located here. When it comes to shopping and recreation, Augusta Road offers more unique, localized options for its residents.

Greenville is downtown-centric, and you don’t get any closer to our off-the-charts downtown than Augusta Road. Being in a very competitive market, accessibility is one of the most alluring factors of this neighborhood. Now you are seeing more young professionals and families move into this area due to the close proximity to downtown.- Thomas Cheves, CB Caine Agent

Streets take on a personality of their own, having block parties, parades, book and wine clubs. These smaller parks offer residents easy access to outdoor recreation, usually in walking distance.

Apart from the hustle and bustle of Augusta Road and downtown, Cleveland Park maintains its popularity amongst residents and visitors alike. Dating back to 1928, this park features tennis and volleyball courts, softball fields, playground areas, a fitness trail, picnic shelters and the Greenville Zoo.
