Artist Spotlight: Tamara Brown

Artist Spotlight: Tamara Brown

Tamara Brown’s paintings of vibrant wildflowers, serene country landscapes, local landmarks, friendly farm animals and more are available on display and available for purchase through March at the Coldwell Banker Caine Spartanburg gallery.

On February 8, art enthusiasts gathered to view Brown’s elegant and eclectic work as part of our Caine Cares initiative at an artist reception, open to the public.

One of our most popular shows to date, spectators started arriving early for a chance to meet Brown and kept the reception buzzing for hours.

Growing up in Charleston, Brown describes her work as “feminine, eclectic, relaxed yet elegant” and is known for figurative, monochromatic work. By creating three-dimensional effects on the canvas, her pieces capture lively and playful landscapes and experiences inspired by daily life in the low country.

Before venturing into fine art, Brown gained popularity creating stationery cards, many of which are licensed by national retailers across the world. “I craved to be more hands on,” says Brown, “and wanted to ‘feel’ the process with an actual brush, paint, and canvas… I immediately fell in love with the tactile elements of fine art and to have the ability to tangibly touch the creative process.”
