80 Years – Celebrating eight decades of Caine in the Upstate
The year 2013 marks the 80th anniversary of The Caine Companies and we couldn’t be more proud of and excited about the legacy of the company and the opportunity to share its tremendous story.
In 1933, Robert M. “Bubber” Caine, a graduate of Furman University, started Caine Realty and Mortgage Co. in an office in downtown Greenville. Bubber Caine was instrumental in the planning and construction of numerous commercial and residential developments statewide. Frank Halter, Bubber’s son-in-law, joined the company in 1953 and assumed the role of President in 1968. Frank has honored his father-in-law’s legacy of hard work and ingenuity by continuing the company’s commercial and residential developments in the Upstate and becoming heavily involved entrepreneurially in the city he loves so much.
